With a transition in ownership, South Downtown Atlanta was looking for fresh merch to spread the word about new vendors and events and put their name out in the community.

Concept 01
My first concepts were type heavy, contrasting large headlines and small captions to create modern layouts. I also layered the South Downtown emblem and played with stacking and repeating text.
Concept 02
I wanted to capture the sprawling and urban nature of the city. I used classic type to keep the historic spirit of South Downtown while adding intersecting architectural lines, captions and details to envoke the busyness of the city.
Concept 03
Using a historic photo of South Downtown, I meshed old and new by playing with line and text.
